Empowerment and Opportunities Fund (EOF) Scholarships are available for California residents who need to complete their degrees via Open University or wish to enhance their professional skill-set via PaCE Certificate offerings. Deserving Open University applicants will be selected in conjunction with L&S Advising. Deserving PaCE Certificate applicants will be selected by PaCE.

PaCE scholarships are reserved to UCSB Students, as well as all residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Kern counties.
The scholarship application deadline is three weeks before the start of the course it applies to. You will hear from us two weeks before the start of course.
I’ve already paid for my course, can I get a scholarship now?
You are welcome to apply. If you qualify, we will refund the amount of the scholarship two weeks before the start of the course.
Scholarships cover 100% of the course cost up to $600.
Are scholarships available for online courses?
Yes, blended and online courses are eligible for scholarships as long as residence requirements are met.
My course/program has other forms of scholarship available. Can I apply for PaCE scholarship as well?
Scholarships are not cumulative. Only one type of scholarship can be used at a time.
