3+1
3+1 prepares international college students for future graduate study. Students will spend their final year at UCSB to get study abroad experience and to prepare for applying to a US graduate program. Students will take courses alongside UCSB matriculated students, and earn UC units to transfer to their home university bachelor's degree, and possibly future graduate programs.
Why 3+1 at UCSB?
- Give international undergraduate students the opportunity to take courses at a top-ranked US University as they earn their Bachelor’s degree at their home university
- Establish eligibility to apply for OPT to work in the US for a year if students complete 3 quarters
- Improve international students' chances to be accepted at US universities.
