South Coast Science Project (SCSP) Science Summer Institute

The SCSP offers a week-long (40 hour) Institute for elementary (TK-6th) teachers during the first week of August each year at local school. The content of the Institute is on a six-year rotation cycle (physics, chemistry and engineering, earth science, environmental science, life science [molecules, organisms, and ecosystems], and life science [evolution and heredity]). During the Institute, teachers learn science content and engage in NGSS aligned three-dimensional activities that can be taken back to their classroom. For Institute specifics see the SCSP website ( In addition to signing up for the course on the PACE website, you also must register for the Institute on the SCSP site.
