Conversations with Clinicians

Aug 19, 2020

As COVID-19 continues to impact us all, we are offering a series of free webinars where you can connect with local clinicians about the medical and human aspects of the pandemic.  The webinars are hosted and moderated by our  Medical Humanities Instructor and Coordinator, Dr. Jason Prystowsky.  This initiative is free to our community, and we welcome your participation. A video of the first of the series is embedded below.

“The humanities are the study of the human condition and we learn about the human condition through art, literature, music, philosophy, and a variety of lenses and contexts.  We’ve used the humanities to discuss clinical medicine and public health [...]then this huge iceberg, this massive historical event happened on our watch, that being the 2020 pandemic of COVID-19.  I thought as we discuss humanities and character within humanities we can continue this conversation and really draw from the wealth from our local clinicians. We will talk about humanities and this big event that has impacted all of us.  Let's talk about character within the context of COVID-19.” --Dr. Jason Prystowsky
